This is just what I was looking for! Excellent for feeding when your baby isnt ready for a spoon but requires substance to have a full belly. There is no mess and very easy clean up.

These bottles are awesome for transition from liquid to cereal and babyfoods.
The insertable strainer is great for beginning very liquid introduction to cereals,
and then removing it and using nipples with bigger holes when they are ready for
2nd and 3rd babyfoods. For some of the really thick 3rd foods, we made the hole in
the nipple a little wider. I used this with all 3 of my children. It saved us tons
of time and mess, and was very handy for on the go feeding with no mess. All the
staff at my daycare loved it too and recommended it to other parents. One does have
to be a little careful not to accidentally flip the bottom disk, however, if you run
the rim under hot water, sometimes you can press it out a touch wider to help minimize
it flipping.
Even if it does flip, the bottom rim usually catches the spill, and if it is not
a very thin liquid, you can usually flip it right back over. We found the
ease and convenience of this product, not to mention the frustration and time it
saves both parents and baby when the baby is first learning to transition to more
solid foods is very worthwhile. It is too bad this is not as available in more
stores and seems to be getting harder to find.
I think it is a great baby gift for new parents, and we have bought these as
baby gifts for many of our friends.

We have been using these baby food nursers (what we call "feeders" for short) for months and months now and we love them! We started using them when our son was around 7-8 months old. He is now 16 months old and we still use them. It's a great way to give him healthy foods in a quick and convenient way, and because he is also given solid foods that need chewing, he is not any less capable of eating foods like a big boy.
These are ideal for busy days -- you can just put the food into the feeders at the beginning of the day and give them to your child whenever he or she is hungry throughout the day. Plus, they are quick and easy to refill.
You are not depriving your child of nutritious foods when you're busy by giving them either unhealthy finger foods or even only healthy snack foods, but you're still giving them something that takes very little of your time to prepare. All of the convenience, none of the guilt, AND none of the mess!
My son has never had any problems eating from these feeders and has never had any problems with the nipples. He can eat about 3 jars of Gerber's 3rd Foods purees in around 10-15 minutes.
My only warning is to be careful once your child starts throwing or dropping things a lot - sometimes when these get dropped, the vacuum disks can turn sideways and the food can come out. Often when the disks turn, hardly any mess is made and you can just turn it back the way it is supposed to be and give it back to your child without any cleanup. But even with this small problem I'd recommend these any day of the week!
