I bought this as a replacement for another one that we had. I like this one because it played music. The problem is there is not a way to turn the music off. If it is sitting in a chair and the cat jumps up and bumps it, it goes off. I wish I would have just bought the one that I had previously.

great toy for spinning, chewing, texture, gripping, colors, but my 9 month old pulled the ring out of the suction cup on day 1, so a lot of the charm was lost. the music was really pleasing to listen to. but it died.

This is the first toy my four month old son has played with that actually keeps him entertained longer than several minutes. I think what really helps is that the parts of the toy are just the right size for his little hands to grab and hold with no problem. By far, his favorite part is the purple spider that makes noise - the width of the bug's body and the little tag legs are what he seems to enjoy the most. He also likes to grab at the black and white base bars on either side of the toy. He has played with this until he's fallen asleep on several occasions.



Pros

Size of pieces makes it easy for little hands to grab onto

Black and white parts seem to grab baby's attention

Batteries can be easily replaced

Helps coordination - focusing on the colors / learning to grab and hol



Cons

Music might get annoying (but isn't that with almost any kids toy?)

No off switch, so music can start when toy is moved around

Suction cup may come up easily if not pre-moistened (I've found that breathing on the cup before sticking it anywhere helps - don't get it too moist!)



Issues from Other Reviewers

Non-replaceable batteries are replaceable - just unscrew the bug and replace them

Suction cup suction problems - just breathe onto the suction cup and stick it on a smooth surface. I didn't do this at first but realized very quickly it just needs a little moisture to stay put.



I'm giving the Sassy Harmonization Fascination Station five stars because for being such a simple toy, it really does its job. I would recommend this to any other parent who has a baby and wants an inexpensive and quality toy.

My 6 month old got this for Christmas. It's cute and fun looking but it doesn't work. First of all, there's no way to turn off the one piece that makes noise. And in the middle of the night I can hear the thing going off for no apparent reason on the floor below. As if that weren't annoying enough, the thing doesn't stay stuck to her high chair. She rips it off immediately each time I put it on. We don't even try to use it with her anymore. I wouldn't buy this for anyone, it doesn't work like it's supposed to.

We got this set for our 3 month old twins, hoping to entertain them enough for us to finish a meal.



The cow doesn't stick for more than a couple seconds, and is top heavy so it hit my son in the head when it fell. It is a relatively boring toy, doesn't spin well, and it is way too loud, especially for a toy that is right in front of your baby!



The other toy is better, but it also does not stick for long. Since it comes off the base, they can at least still use it and do seem to like it. The black and white part that sticks in the base is a nice size for their hands to grasp. But as a tray toy, it is not worth it.

While it worked, my baby (7 months) loved this toy. For us the suction worked just fine, but it was sort of moot since he was able to pull it off of the suction base and play with it. Either way, the music and sounds it produced really kept him entertained.



Then two weeks later it stopped working. Not a sound, not a peep. So I pulled out my screw driver set to see if I could change the battery. Well, the toy uses triangle shaped slots in the screw head, so none of my screw drivers (slot, phillips, hex) work. So now I can't change the battery and I have a worthless toy (he's bored with it now that it doesn't make sounds).

Ok - so you need to wet it and re-suction it every time you put your baby in the high chair - but after that - I have a happy baby. Cow over the moon has a little song and other toy comes off for a hand held for later. I still think it's a pretty good deal.

Maybe it's just me but this toy does not stay stuck to surfaces! I always make sure the suction cup is damp, not wet, and put it on a clean flat surface but within a few minutes, my 5-month old knocks it right off the tray/table/high chair and I have to get it for her. I got this toy so I could get things accomplished and NOT have to retrieve toys for her every 2 minutes. Pretty pointless!

My son likes it better when it isn't suctioned to anything, so it's nice that it detaches from the suction cup. It seems to suction to smooth things well enough - i.e. doesn't suction well to our wooden table but does grat on the plastic try of his bumbo seat.

We bought three of the Sassy Suction toys for our 3-month old. Out of all three, she likes the one with noise (with a spider on it), then the illumination one, then the plain one. But, she does really like them all, but when we put all 3 in front of her on her little bumbo table, she plays with them in that order, usually the one with noise most, but then when we start hitting the other ones for her, she'll move onto them. The toys also can come apart from the suction cup, which can be used with those colorful hooks to be hooked up on a jungle gym or activity jumper to dangle. These don't seem like she'll tire from them easily, so I envision bringing them to restaurants to play with, or anywhere else they can be suctioned to.

I was surprised that the ball lights up when it is moved.



I love that it comes off the suction cup so my twins can hold it, they LOVE IT.



They really like chewing on the black and white part.

My son loved this product! It was a great source of entertainment for restaurants or just at the dinner table. My son started to pull it off the table when he was 6 or 7 months old. After he could pull it off the table it was much less useful for keeping him busy in a restaurant. I had to constantly reattach it. Also, the part that lights up is so much heavier than the other sides that it was always on the bottom and my son couldn't rotate it all around. Despite all that it was still well worth the money.

We have made liberal use of suction cup toys like this for our children. We understand that you need to make sure that the surface is clean and smooth and that the suction cup is fully rinsed before trying to stick it down each time. Even with those precautions, sometimes they stay down; sometimes they don't.



I bought this toy because we had something similar that I bought 8 years ago for my first child. I really didn't want something with a light in it, but didn't have a choice. My 6 month old will put this in his mouth while he sits at the table with us and it generally gets covered with food or drool. He couldn't care less about the light, which is motion activated.



There is a little hole in the light-up ball that allows water (and who knows what else?) inside. Washing it means having to keep your finger over the hole and hope that you can rinse it fast enough. If food gets inside that hole, you are out of luck.



I can't figure out why anyone would make a suction cup toy (presumably for use at a high chair, around food) that cannot be easily washed.
