My son is 8 months we have used this item 3 to 4 times since november. He was not really that found of it but I gave it a try since so many highly recommended it and after spending 10$ for it on amazon(shipped)

Imagine my supprise when I see a piece of apple next to my kid and ask my mom how he got it out of the feeder.My mom said he was chokeing on apple and shown me the mesh ripped completly from top to bottom like you would cut it with a sharp knife. I will try to add a picture of it ripped.

My feeder is ripped and my kid is alive - lucky me I dont have to gamble with my baby life again - and why? to let him suck on a fruit thru a "sock" that is unsafe. You want your baby to eat fruit mash it and feed him please don't experriment.

Awful product I dont understand why people write such good reviewes. Just put a piece of fruit in it and try it yourself if you like it -AWFUL!

The bag is a little tricky to clean (thanks for the oxyclean tip, Billy Mays RIP!)...otherwise, this thing is fantastic! Ok, so--it makes a mess...or do I just have a messy baby??? She winds up with fruit all over her, and what did I throw in it tonight? BLUEBERRIES, brilliant, just brilliant. Especially since she was wearing our favorite outfit. Maybe the Oxyclean will be doing double duty tonight?

The handle is perfect for their little hands, the thing freezes to keep the fruit/veggies cold...and it's good for a "snacker" on the go. When we run errands, I always have chunks of frozen fruit with us to throw in and give her when hungry. Also, a pacifier attacher-thing also works for this, so you can ensure it isn't being thrown across the car/store/etc.

I wouldn't do avocados in it though...they are too thick and won't go thru the bag. Too bad, my little one loves avocados!

This feeder is great to let little ones have and make a mess. Don't think they won't get messy. My little one had banana everywhere. She is 9 months and can hold it my herself. However, she does try to eat the bag. She has two teeth that I think could eventually rip the bag if she tries hard enough. But I don't think it is a dangerous feeder. The replacement bags are useful so you can't wash one and put in a fresh one. The screw top is wonderful and it is made in the USA.

My son seems to like this. Though if he bangs it around enough, the ring becomes slightly loose. Haven't had any problems cleaning the mesh bag.

This feeder is a great idea! Except, it's pretty much disposable! The feeding bag looks horrible after the very first time we used it (we put a third of a banana - the leftovers are impossible to wash off!) It's going to be pricy to buy the set of extra bags if it's good enough only for 1-2 feedings.



The manufacturer needs to come up with a new idea of a reasonable and practical replacement bags, FIRST!



I'm not buying it again! :-(

Just got my Sassy Teething Feeder today and tried it out. Aesthetically it's so colorful and pretty. My 7 month old took to it immediately. The netting is all natural and is not dyed in any color so I don't have to worry about her ingesting anything harmful. It was very easy to put the fruit in and screw on the net on to the ring. Also, there is a push lock on the ring so the baby can't accidentally unscrew it and get the food out. I left my baby with the feeder and a piece of banana and she was happily gnawing for 20 minutes! It is a little hard to clean the net because of the mashed up banana residue but it's better when I soak it in water first.

I highly recommend this product for the 6-8 month old babies!

You can put most things in these and my baby can feed himself. It helps when he is hungry and I need time to prepare his meals so I give him a snack in the teething feeder. I sometimes even put frozen yogurt in it so it like he is having a frozen treat.

My daughter loved this. It was nice that you can chill the base and the cover is awesome when traveling. We did put food in the mesh like cut up apples or pears. Great for teething while getting fresh fruit instead of commerical pureed food.

I really love this item... we had a similar one for our first born, so we purchased this one ( and 2 other types) for our daughter. She absolutely loves it... and we use mesh feeders daily - but the 2 issues that I have with it are it is a pain to open. I have carpel tunnel and the beginning stages of arthritis and it's really difficult for me to open this - it's even harder to add more after it's been slobbered on! Also banana is her favorite thing to eat out of these and it is a real pain to clean it off... putting in the dishwasher doesn't even help!

It worked well with a bananna and our 7-month-old son seemed to enjoy it. The problem came when it was time to clean up. Little bits of bananna got stuck in the netting and in the seam where the netting meets the plastic ring. 5 minutes of scrubbing under warm water and I was still finding bits of bananna stuck in there. Not worth the effort.

We've tried all the fresh food feeders available and this one is the best so far! Baby cannot unsnap the lid so there's no accidental openings; the bags are slick therefore easier to clean; the round handle is perfect size for baby's grasp. Cute as well, can't miss! We slip a sippy cup holder through the handle and anchor it to baby's stroller, bouncer or highchair, etc, so it doesn't get tossed to the floor or ground!

This is a great product for parent and baby. The only thing I don't like about them-is they are hard to clean. Try soaking them in hot soapy water before attempting to scrub the mesh fabric. It helps loosen the food a little. They take a bit of work to clean them-but otherwise it is a great product to teach feeding to a baby. It helps keep baby busy while eatting and you have time to get a thing or two done in the kitchen. I also recomend attaching the loop part of the feeder to a sippy cup leash or some of those toy plastic chain links. Baby loves to throw this item on the floor!!
